Why Clearony
When every other broker earns more from specific vendors, the conflict of interest is built in. Clearony removes it.
The Model
Every other broker gets paid more when you pick a specific vendor. We do not.
Traditional broker model
- Vendors pay brokers different commission rates and SPIF bonuses. Higher-paying vendors rise to the top of recommendations — regardless of fit.
- Needs assessments are often shallow — designed to route you toward a preferred vendor quickly, not to understand your actual requirements.
- Comparison sites (Bluewave, Lightyear, Bridgepointe) show you rankings influenced by who advertises with them or pays for placement.
- After you sign, the broker moves on. Implementation support — if it exists — is minimal.
The Clearony model
- Every vendor is scored against your requirements only. Commission rates and SPIF bonuses are not inputs to the ranking algorithm.
- The 8-question needs analysis was designed by TCOM advisors to capture the details that actually differentiate UCaaS and CCaaS platforms in your use case.
- Your shortlist is a ranked PDF with rationale — not a comparison chart sorted by who paid to be listed first.
- TCOM stays with you through implementation. Their business depends on getting this right — a bad fit is a support burden, not a closed deal to forget.
TCOM Solutions
25 years advising US businesses on communications technology.
Clearony is a service built on TCOM Solutions' advisory practice. TCOM has spent 25 years working with US businesses on communications technology decisions — evaluating platforms, managing vendor relationships, and supporting implementations across healthcare, professional services, and multi-location operations.
That depth matters when your advisor reviews your shortlist. They are not reading from a vendor's feature matrix; they are drawing on hands-on experience with the platforms they are recommending.
The Clearony model was built to extend that advisory quality to businesses that would not otherwise have access to an independent advisor — without the consulting fee that typically comes with it. The analysis is free. The shortlist is free. The advisor conversation is free. TCOM earns from the vendor, after you sign.

Fit-First Ranking
"A vendor that scores 95 on fit for a dental group may score 60 for a law firm. The platform is the same — the requirements are not."
How Clearony approaches every shortlist
UCaaS and CCaaS vendors are not interchangeable. Integration requirements vary by industry, call volume changes the economics of per-seat licensing, and a platform that deploys easily across two locations may require significant IT work at twenty.
Clearony's scoring model accounts for these variables because the needs analysis asks about them directly. The result is a shortlist that reflects your situation — not a generic top-five that looks the same for every buyer.
What the ranking weighs
- Practice type
Healthcare, dental, professional services, and multi-location businesses have distinct platform requirements. The scoring model treats them differently.
- Integration requirements
EMR and EHR compatibility, CRM integrations, and existing software dependencies that vendors either support natively or require middleware to reach.
- Scale and location count
Platforms that work well at one or two sites sometimes carry significant overhead at five or ten. Call volume and seat count affect per-user economics.
- Must-have features
Features your staff relies on daily — auto-attendant configuration, call recording retention, queue management, mobile app quality — weighted as requirements, not nice-to-haves.
- Current platform context
Whether you are migrating from a legacy PBX, an on-prem system, or an existing cloud platform affects which vendors can execute a clean transition.
